While I’m in the mood to offer up some shout outs, I thought I might direct the attention of my readers not only to one of the best audio/analogue blogs out there, but to a person whose writing inspired me to buy a Rega P3-24 (launching me inexorably down the path to high fidelity) and to blog about my analogue adventures.
The Vinyl Anachronist, a.k.a. Marc Philips, is an analogue enthusiast currently living just outside Austin, Texas who has been writing about vinyl since 1998. He’s contributed regularly as the Vinyl Anachronist in publications such as Perfect Sound Forever, AudioEnz and TONEAudio.
Marc’s writing is engaging, interesting, intelligent, informative and, most importantly, accessible to everyone from the most ardent audiophile to the greenest analogue admirer.
He covers a lot of ground (even burgers and cookies occasionally) and provides a lot of helpful tips, useful reviews and thoughtful reflections on all things audio.
Pay him a visit if you haven’t already (in case you missed it, there’s a link to his blog in my blogroll). If you learn half as much as I do from him you’ll have learned ten times more than I could hope to pass on here.
Thanks for the shout out, Robert! I’m becoming a big fan of you and your website as well!
Looks like you got a mention on his blog too. Nice job man!
